BIO
Rainfeather Records recording artist Ronny Criss is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with deep Americana, country, and rock roots. Ronny is an artist and a storyteller of the finest order. His signature smooth and southing vocal delivery coupled with his honest straight to the heart writing style bridges the gap between the commercial artist and the outsider songwriter with incredible ease.
In the summer of 2022, he released his debut album “Highways” to great review and has played venues throughout the Southeast and Midwest in support since. This year in the Spring of 2024 Ronny was selected as a feature performer and host of his own round at Nashville’s prestigious Tin Pan South Songwriter’s Festival and will also be a featured writer at the Sandy Lee Songwriter’s Festival in Henderson, KY. Even more festival dates to be announced soon.
In addition to his solo work, Ronny is widely recognized for his work with indie folk duo Sea Changer including fellow Nashville artist Shawn Byrne and their hits like "Heart is Home” featuring Indie Folk darlings Birdtalker and “See You There” featuring Molly Parden, Criss has also written, recorded, and or produced for some of Music City’s top up-and-coming acts including country duo Indigo Summer, powerhouse Dave Fenley and Tabitha Meeks. He is now currently in the studio with producer Shawn Byrne working on is anticipated follow up release to Highways. New singles planned for Summer and Fall. 2024 is already shaping up to be another big year for Ronny.
