OUR MISSION

Hey friends, it’s Ronny Criss, Nashville singer/songwriter and Rainfeather Records artist! 

I’m reaching out to you – my fans, family, and friends – for your vital support in helping launch my second full-length album “Hurricane Heart”. This is the highly anticipated follow-up to Highways, and with your help, we can bring this project across the finish line.

I’ve already put substantial personal funds into the recording process, but now I need your support to cover the final stages: mastering, producing limited edition vinyl and CDs, and hiring a promotion team to help take the release to the next level. Releasing an album is an expensive process, and as an artist on a small independant label, it’s you – my supporters – who make all the difference in getting new music out to the world.

Let me tell you a little more about the album you’ll be investing in and our goals.

ABOUT THE ALBUM   

After the release of Highways and a Southeastern tour, I settled into life as a new father to my beautiful daughter, Carolina. During that time, songwriting took on a new shape – writing late at night, often quietly so I wouldn’t wake her, I found myself creating some of the most personal and heartfelt music of my life.

“Hurricane Heart” is the result of that journey featuring 13 tracks that are a powerful blend my emotions, growth, and creativity as a father, artist, and person. The sound is different from the country rock of Highways, showcasing my versatility with a flury of influences ranging from Eagles inspired rock, Muscle Shoals Gospel and soul to Neil Young-inspired folk and Ryan Adams-style indie rock. You might even feel some Cure influence blow past you! It’s lush, beautiful, energetic and uniquely me – and I can’t wait for you to hear it. 

WHAT WE NEED   

Our fund raising goal is $8000.

This will cover the final costs for vinyl LP production, mastering, music video production, and most importantly, promotion. As much as I’ve poured into the recording process, promotion is the key to getting this album into the ears of as many people as possible.

Artists like me rely on your support to make a real impact. We need publicists, promotion, music videos, and merchandise to give this album the best chance to succeed – none of that is cheap. I’ve taken this project as far as I can on my own, but to truly give it the attention it deserves, I need your help to cover these remaining costs.
